I uploaded this from the same source a few years ago but took it down when I found out it was copyright, The claim said "new matter" or something like that (though I couldn't find this new matter). I had it taken down anyway and someone else put up a pd version of it afterward. So what's this guy's trip?

I think the only "New Matter" is the titles that say it's copyrighted, but that's evidently a legitimate claim. It was probably your copy I used to make a PD copy by chopping out their title and replacing it with a generic one, because the REST of the film IS PD, even if they cleaned it up and made it look pretty!

Well, I got yours in my collection. Now if someone could come up with a print with the title ATTACK OF THE THE EYE CREATURES (two "the"s in the title) then that would make my day. I have a copy, recorded from tv, but I can't upload it because it looks like crap recorded in the EP mode on vhs.

The version with two "thes" is also copyrighted for exactly the same reason. They changed to title to obtain copyright, and cocked it up!

Well, so much for that. I guess my crappy copy is the only way I'll see this flick under that title. Maybe someone will upload a pd print (in color) one of these days. But thanks for the one you fixed up anyways.

Enkightened self-interest. I'm trying yo get the best copies I can of all the "Texas" films (Buchanan's stuff, "Don't Look in the Basement" and "Fright Night") so I can put together a mashup that makes more sense than any of the originals!

Ha! I'd rather sit through an endless marathon loop of those "Texas films" (Buchanan, Brownrigg, Marker, Hoffman, Boyette, Sherrill, Warren, et al) than watch even one Hammer or Toho film!
